October Favourites – Product Loves

November 4, 2013

Howdy lovlies,

So, as we’re now into November, I thought I would do a little post on my October favourites, so products that I’ve been loving this month! Most of them are quite cheap to be honest, but there’s a few more expensive ones in there too. I’m planning to do proper in depth reviews of these products this week (excluding the Bourjois nail varnish remover as I’ve already done that), so that you can see exactly WHY I love them so much! I hope you all enjoy! :)

Ok, so here is the list:

Bourjois ‘One Second’ nail varnish remover

I really love this product because it’s just so handy and gets rid of my nail varnish so quickly. You can find my review here.

Maybelline Colour Show – Downtown red

I’ve been looking for a nice deep burgendy red for a while, and the price of this caught my eye. Definitely worth it!

Nivea – In Shower Moisturiser

This stuff is simply amazing, I will explain how it works and why I love it in my review post of it. I was skeptical at first, but it really is fab. :D

Real Techniques Buffing Brush

I’ve been using this brush so much recently, I love it. I don’t think you can buy it on its own, only in the core collection, but it’s so good for blending out foundation, blush, contour etc!

Neutrogena Multi Defence Moisturiser

This is quite a new find, and I’m really enjoying it. When it comes to to the colder months, my skin gets so dry and horrible, and this has been doing the trick!

Leo Bancroft – Instantly Sleek Serum

This stuff I found by accident really, as I was doing my weekly shop in Tesco and spotted it. I thought I’d give it a try as it was so cheap, and I love it. It’s so good if the ends of your hair get frizzy and dry.

And, then the pricy ones last!

Benefit Highbeam Highlighter

So, I got this product when I went to visit the Benefit Brow Bar (which you can read about here ), and it was recommended to me by a few other bloggers. I love it as a highlight, it’s really subtle and more pinky than white. Really nice.

MAC – Cranberry Eyeshadow

Does what it says on the tin really, can’t go wrong with a MAC eyeshadow. This one is a really gorgeous deep red, with a bit of shimmer. So pretty!

Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips

Don’t be put off by the name, this stuff is amazing! It’s so good for cracked and dry lips, but beware you don’t need a lot, it’s very sticky!

So, have any of you tried any of these products? Did you love them? Did you hate them? What were your favourites last month?

Benefit High Beam sounds interesting, definitely have to have a look into that. I have the Nivea In Shower Moisturiser, while I love the idea of it, the smell of it and how it makes my skin feel I just cannot stand in the shower for 3 minutes while it does its thing. Most of the time I was it off before 1 minutes up.

It is a lovely highlighter, but it’s so pricy! About £19.50 and it’s quite small. I’ll have to wait and see if it lasts! :)

Haha! That’s fair enough, I don’t wait any time at all with it. I literally put it on and then rinse it straight off and it works for me! Thanks for your comment love xo

Ohh some lovely things there! One thing I have no idea on is make up brushes! I just have some I got with a set of make up. Probably my next thing to look at, so will look forward to reading more about the buffing brush in particular! x

Thanks Erika! :) Ah, well the Real Techniques ones are always a winner, they’re so popular and for good reason! They’re so fluffy and light, and lovely to use. xo

Definitely worth it, you can get them from Boots too! :) I love the shadow base brush (similar to the 217 in shape) and the contour, blush and buffing brushes are my favourite! xo

Wow, a lot to learn there then. I am looking at getting a contouring palette as well, so will look on Boots. Thanks hun! xx

Yeah it’s really good, quite pricy though for the size that you get, I thought it would be bigger! Also, it’s hard to get off your fingers, haha. So good for dry lips though! Thanks for your comment! xo

The in shower moisturiser is single handedly the best tine saving product in the world, love it! I’m also a Leo Bancroft fan too, have a hair mask and heat protector spray that are fab – and they’re purse friendly! Love :) xxx

I’v got his heat defense spray, it’s not bad but equally I wouldn’t say it was nearly as good as some others I have. It’s the one I chuck in my bag when I’m going somewhere for a few days though because it’s small!

I absolutely LOVE the Bourjois nail polish remover! I have been using it for about 7 years now, and it is the best I’ve ever used. The first time I actually used it was on a trip to France, I picked it up in a major grocery store and haven’t stopped using it since! Removes polish easily and the best part is that it isn’t drying to my nails! Great post!
